So, the other day I teased you all with my little Fed-Ex delivery. What was inside, you ask? Well, what would you like the little Fed-Ex fairies to bring to you? How about some free chocolate?
Oh yeah, ladies, I got me some free chocolate to try on for size. A whole lot of it, in fact.
Why, you ask? Well, it seems that Dove Chocolate is coming to Canada, and a word of mouth marketing company out of Toronto called Matchstick Inc. was looking for 300 lucky Canadian bloggers to try it out and share it with their friends. When they approached me, how could I say no? Hasn't it been everyone's dream at some point in their life to have a "job" that paid them in chocolate? (Ok, maybe not, but it sounded good at the time.)
So they sent me my Dove pleasure kit (kinky, no?), and I've been weak in the knees ever since. I've been nom nom nomming chocolate like it's no one's business. I've been handing out cute little "purse packs" of chocolate to people I know. Tell me I'm not popular among the preschool moms for that one! I've been making lists in my fancy leather-bound journal, and I've been toting diapers and sunscreen in my handy new bag.
I now have a new chocolate love. Usually I'm a bit of a chocolate snob, I admit. I'm a dark chocolate fan, and I like my chocolate with a bit of bite. (Of course, this is all because of the health benefits associated with dark chocolate. And red wine... I love being health conscious!) But, the Dusk chocolate has won me over.
Dusk is milk chocolate with a hint of dark, and it is fantastic. Not only does it have a great name, it tastes amazing too. If you're going to try some of this new-fangled Dove stuff, start here. You won't be sorry.
Now, the blogging purists out there will say I've sold out. I'm whoring myself and my blog out for The Man. But, you know what, I don't care. I'm on a chocolate high, and ain't nothin' going to bring me down.
And now, a message from our sponsor: (What? They gave me free chocolate - I owe them that much!)

now if they paid me in chocolate AND coffee I would blog nekkid.
My thoughts on Dove? Let me run up to the shower and taste the soap. I'm sure it's D-lish!
Wink, wink. Same company?
Let me just clarify here: if you start posting sponsored reviews of pool cleaning tools when you don't own a pool, or endorsements of haircare products you do not use, or cloying discussions of the latest new cuddly toy THEN you will have sold out to The Man. As it is, however, you have NOT sold out; you have simply accepted quite possibly the best opportunity to drop into a blogger's lap in a long long time. That makes you SMART. And, no doubt, extremely popular amongst your IRL friends.
wooo-hooo par-tay at Latte Mommy's house...bring some red wine and she'll feed you chocolate till you burst...
Dove chocolate is my not-so-secret weakness and survival strategy. It's the most affordable chocolate in the US that approximates the richness of the stuff I grew up eating in the UK. One of my coworkers and I keep a drawer at work stuffed with Dove ... it just makes for a happier office! (And yeah, I took the survey.)
I'm thinking of moving to Canada, just so I can be eligible for this. I'm THAT jealous.
Kelley - aren't you blogging naked already? :)
JMT - ha ha! Remember the Dove Bar? No, not the bar soap!
MT - I knew I loved you! ((hugs))
Sadia - so have you tried the Dusk stuff? 'Cuz it's amazing.
Bunchy - and we have free health care too! *grin*
I am eating a dove dark chocolate square RIGHT NOW! I LOVE LOVE LOVE them. I agree with Sadia, best affordable chocolate around!
SO jealous of your new "job"!!!
Girl, I am SOOO jealous. Dove chocolate is awesome and that Dusk flavor sounds divine. Enjoy it!
K'zoo - what a coincidence! I think eating chocolate while reading blogs is an excellent pastime.
Kelly - thanks! I'm on a continuous chocolate buzz now! :)
YUM! Definitely worth the wait to find out!
I am so jealous. I want free chocolate. I love Dove Dark Promises. I haven't tried the Dusk yet.
Um, WHAT? One: why did they not offer me free chocolate? Two: WHY DID YOU NOT GIVE ME SOME TODAY? Screw the kitty, I want some Dusk.
Stella - so good, you don't know the half of it!
Jane - oh, you have to go out and find the Dusk. Amazing.
Mr. Lady - I soooo had some in my bag for you today, and totally forgot to give it to you. I was distracted by all the skin you were showing (!). I suck. But I will definitely save it for you. Incentive for you to come back! :)
Mmmmmm - Awhile back I was invited to review some chocolate but it was a sugar free kind of organic chocolate.
Give me yummy Dove chocolate any day! You'll have to try their chocolate almond ice cream bars.
Kristen - thanks for stopping by! Duly noted - I will keep my eye out for Dove ice cream bars. I've heard of them before, but have yet to see them in Canada. Could our luck be changing??
I'm in the U.S.-Dove Dark Chocolate is the absolute ands down best! I love the Dove Promises- there are little inspirational/happy messages inside each wrapper. I love me some Dove!
Who cares what the purists say. Enjoy the chocolate! You gotta take the perks when you get 'em. Do it for all of the little people who have never been offered.
Oh man...I lurve me some Dove chocolate. I MUST try the Dusk. Must!
Oh I so wish I lived in Canada right now!
Does Matchstick have like beer clients? If so, could you like, you know, put in a good word? I "promise to give it out to others."
I would not leave the house until I had tried them all! You lucky lady!
All I can say is that when it comes to chocolate, anything goes!
Yum! Why can't I have been born Canadian? I blog for books, I would definitely blog for chocolate!
Dove chocolate is yummy. I did not know of the dusk flavour!!
