So, where do you blog?
No, I'm not asking whether you're on Blogger or Wordpress, or whatever. I'm not asking for your URL.
You put a little piece of your self out on the internet every day, often with photos, and people devlop a mental picture of you at your keyboard. But what does it really look like? What's your "command center" like? From whence does your brilliance spew forth?
This, my friends, is the home of Latte Mommy. Please excuse the mess. I spend too much time here, and not enough on the housework.
Laptop, tall (sort of) comfortable stool, stacks of paper and bills precariously balanced (and often falling to the floor), preschool artwork for ambiance. This is Grand Central Station at my house.
I totally love having a laptop, but interestingly I rarely move it from this spot. Other people tell me all the time that they blog (or plurk or tweet) from their couch, from their bed, from all sorts of more comfortable places than that wooden stool up there. However, I never seem to bother moving. I have no idea why. Lazy, I guess! Or totally a creature of habit (also very likely).
Anyway, this is where I am when I write my blog, read your blogs, plurk, tweet, email, cry, laugh, commisserate and (sometimes) shake my fist. This is where it all happens.

I rarely move my lappy from it's position at the dinner table...it's got it's own place and everything.
Aside from the sweating lap, I find the couch/bed experience enjoyable, however, the five seconds it takes to move is sometimes too much for me...because then you have to move it back and ugh...what a waste of time :)

OH I wish I had a desk. My laptop sits on my dresser, with I am at the moment standing next to type rather than making my bed. Which is the other place that I sit to type. Because most the time it is late at night once I have my monsters, I mean kids, to sleep.

I usually blog from the family room couch. If not there, then the kitchen counter.
Option 1 is at nap time or after bedtime. Option 2 is while the kid is in the highchair, heh.
I would love a laptop so I could move it around. Thing is...once I get one, I probably wouldn't move it!!!

Okay, I admit it. I generally take a few minutes at work to write stuff. Guilty. Very guilty.

But if you would like, go ahead and picture a sea of tastefully beiged cubicle walls (made of soft fabric to avoid employees trying to beat themselves to death against said walls), and you'll get the idea. I *need* to blog from here. Otherwise, my soul would be deceased. Or beiged.
Wylie - I think it's an excellent use of your time at work. Just think of it as resting your brain to make you more productive over the rest of your work day. Right?

I love seeing people's workspace :) I posted mine a while back. Sadly, my kitchen table doubles as my desk, and my laptop goes to the most inappropriate places with me.
It even sleeps beside me at night next to the bed.
